iPhone 8 to feature Glass Casing Waterproof Face-scanning technology

With the iPhone 8 set to receive a major redesign that is rumored to add an edge-to-edge display, eliminate the home button, and introduce some sort of touch bar-style feature, it’s no surprise that we’re seeing dozens of concept images and mockups imagining what such a device might look like.

An iPhone 8 concept video by Arthur Reis shared by Concepts iPhone features a device with a nearly edge-to-edge display that continues to have thin bezels, a small indent for a home button, dual cameras, and a glass body. It imagines fantastical non-rumored features like a “hover-sensitive screen,” dual front-facing cameras, and an “AirCharger” for long-range wireless charging.

Apple iPhone 8 Expected Specification

  • 5.8in 2.5D OLED edge-to-edge display
  • 4K Display
  • New design with an ‘all-glass’ construction
  • Wireless charging support
  • Faster A12 Processor (As A11 is coming in iPhone 7s )
  • Rear-facing Touch ID sensor
  • No Physical Home Button
  • Glass Body
  • iOS 11 with ‘advanced Siri functionality’
  • Face-scanning technology
  • Wireless Charging
  • Vertical dual cameras on rear

An alleged iPhone 8 ‘dummy unit’ has surfaced online. If legit, it reveals that the smartphone will feature an edge-to-edge display, a 2.5D curved glass design and a vertical dual camera setup, although there’s no sign of the rumoured rear-facing Touch ID sensor.

Reports claim that Apple is having issues embedded the Touch ID sensor into the OLED display a note by analyst Timothy Arcuri from Cowen and Company, which could see production of the smartphone delayed. Either that, or the firm could be forced to either remove the fingerprint sensor completely or to move it to the rear of the phone.

Price

If it’s anything like Apple’s new MacBooks, next year’s iPhone will be more expensive than this year’s release, and some are claiming that the highest-spec model will be the first iPhone to cost more than $1,000. Video About Apple iPhone 8 Specifications.
